What I BelievePosted by Debbie on Friday, July 30, 2010 01:39 pmIt seems that political correctness has gone crazy and very soon we will not be able to freely express our beliefs, especially Christian beliefs. While homosexuals are allowed to protest outside Christian churches yelling,"Bring back the lions!" and Muslims seek to kill anyone speaking ill of Mohammad or Islam, the only group it is increasingly alright to persecute are Christians. Well, I am a Christian. I believe that salvation is only through Christ Jesus and His death and resurrection. I believe the bible is THE word of God. As such, I believe everything in it. I believe that homosexuality is a sin and an abomination to the Lord. I believe sex outside marriage is wrong. I also believe that our country WAS founded on Christian principles. I believe in the freedom of speech and RELIGION, not just freedom of worship, as politicians are now calling it. I believe in capitalism. I believe that illegal immigrants should be deported. I believe in absolute truth. I have been accused of being a hate monger for stating my beliefs. I don't hate ANYONE. I hate sin. I hate injustice. I hate opression. Christians are accused of being hateful and judgmental and opressive. Aside from the actions of the Catholic Church in the past, which, by the way, I believe is a false religion, Christians may disagree with sinners and false religions, but they don't kill or persecute those who believe differently. Islam, on the otherhand, is a religion of violence and hate. How many sucicide bombers do you know that are true Christians? I know I will take a great deal of flak for what I've written. My parents are Catholic, I have gay friends and relatives, Muslims will take offense, postmodernists will take issue with my stand on absolute truth. The political and social mores are making it increasingly dangerous to say or write such things. But, I cannot deny Christ. I cannot deny my faith. I cannot deny the truth. I will not remain silent while our freedoms are taken away for the sake of political correctness, which is cultural Marxism. If my beliefs end up seeing me put in jail or worse, so be it.
