chick-fil-a

I am amused, if not saddened by the backlash agains Chick-fil-a's CEO's stance on the gay marriage issue.  He simply, as a Christian, stated what the BIBLE and therefore, GOD has to say about marriage and homosexuality.  If the gays have a problem with it, take it up with the Creator.  I also see more hate and venom being spewed by gay activists toward christians than I have EVER heard from Christians, or rather self-professing Christians, against homosexuals. Why is stating a belief hate speech?  How is telling someone that thy are committing an act that will separate them from God hateful?  Who is more hateful here?

What ever happened to being able to disagree with someone without being called a bigot or a hate monger?  Will we be called hateful for saying that child molestation is an abomination?  After all, there are lots of people who feel it's alright to have sex with children.   Are pedophiles to be the next group of people to demand that their lifestyles be affirmed and given equal rights?  What about murderers?  Rapists?

Oh, I hear it now, gays are going to be outraged and say that I am equating homosexuality with pedophilia and rape.  In a way I am, in that God considers all those to be sins.  But God loves the people that commit those sins as much as He loves all sinners.  He became a man, lived a sinless life, gave his life as a ransome for all sinners so that we could be redeemed, was buried and rose again.  ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.  NONE of us have a chance without Jesus.

So, as a Christian, I believe what God has said, that marriage id between one man and one woman.  That homosexuality goes against the character and nature of God.  That is not hate speech, that is a fact.  And I say to all homosexuals that may read this that they can be delivered and set free.  that Christ loves them and wants them to have all the good things and blessings he had for them.  they just need to admit that they are sinners, repent of their sin, accept by faith the grace of Christ's payment of their sins by His death on the cross, and be born again and live for Him.
